Mr McCullock has derived benefit from this property for years part, and having signed no Lease, he was not aware that he was responsible for rent. For his absence he has been sued for the Rent for Midsummer last, of the year ending which we have paid together with the sum of $285 for costs, being unwilling to allow the extreme steps of the Law to be carried into effect in his absence, but we must protest against our act being considered as an admission of responsibility.
